Find modern grace

Beach grace

I hope your Thanksgiving was full of grace, good food, family, and friends. The gorgeous 55 degree day in Chicago yesterday was the warmest in 46 years, and so we did a pre-feast walk to the beach. It was a terrific treat to touch the water, feel the sand, and find seashells on Thanksgiving. The beach’s treasures are many – miles of soft and squishy sand, seashells, flat and bumpy rocks, the sonic and visual rhythm of waves lapping up on the shore, and the big sky are just a few. These  may seem like little things, but I think this is where real grace and joy are found. Everyday is  just packed with moments of grace when we look for them. Hope yours is full today.
